Obituary for Joan H. Fiore

Joan H.  Fiore
Joan Helen Fiore, 86, of Mount Olive, IL, passed away peacefully at home. She was born in Asbury Park. She graduated Asbury Park High School in 1948. Joan was a long distance operator and a hostess in many area restaurants. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Mount Olive, IL, the Mount Olive Senior Citizens, a volunteer in the local Community Theatre Programs as a preformer and Director of the Children's Programs. Joan was an aspiring writer who leace behind an unfinished historical novel based on the ship wreck of the vessel "The New Era" off the New Jersey Coast. She loved horseback riding and cruises with her late husband, Ben.
She was predeceased by her husband, Benjamin in 1996; her parents, John and Helen Lovell and 2 sisters, Barbara McDonough and Patricia Lovell.
Surviving are a son, Reverend Ben (Joanie) Fiore of Mount Olive, IL; daughter, Jody Fiore (Kernahan) Buck of Holliston, MA and 5 grandchildren, Karolyn (Michael) Greenstreet of Portland, ME, PFC Thomas Fiore Buck USMC of San Francisco, CA, Joseph, Johanna and Sarah Fiore of Mount Olive, IL.
Visitation will be Saturday, January 14 from 10 am until the time of service at 11 am at Zion Lutheran Church, Mount Olive, IL. Burial will follow at Union Miners Cemetery in Mount Olive.
