Obituary for Ignatius "Al" Napoli

Ignatius “Al” Napoli, 73, of Ocean, died Saturday, December 31, 2016 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune.

He was born in Brooklyn and moved to Ocean in 1985.

Al worked as a night supervisor at Chase Manhattan Bank in New York. He then owned Napoli’s Disposal in Ocean in 1985. Al then became foreman at the Township of Ocean Sanitation Department. Later, Al worked for the Township of Ocean Board of Education. He was a communicant of St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church, West End, Long Branch.

He was predeceased by his wife of 43 years, Louise in 2013 and his parents, Andrew and Teresa Napoli.

Surviving are his daughter, Angela Napoli-Vincent and future son-in-law, Scott Rothberg; son, Matthew Napoli; 2 grandchildren, James and Alyssa Vincent; sisters, Patricia Mintz and Anne Aversa; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Ribaudo and his nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 4-8 pm Wednesday at the Fiore Funeral Home, 236 Monmouth Road, Oakhurst, Ocean Township. Funeral Mass will be offered at 10:30 am Thursday at St. Michael’s Church, West End, Long Branch. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Neptune.
