Obituary for Margaret F. Johnson

Margaret F. Johnson, 94, of West Long Branch, passed away at Pinebrook Care Center in Englishtown on Friday, July 31, 2015.
Born in New York City on December 27, 1920, Marge was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary Bless and was one of eight children. She resided in the Bronx for 70 years before moving to West Long Branch. Marge worked for the Federal Reserve Bank of New York before retiring in 1980. She loved family, friends and helping those in need. In addition to her kindness and generosity, she was an avid baker, crocheter, gardener and an active member of her community.
Marge was predeceased by her husband of 46 years, Clarence “Sonny” Johnson in 1987. Surviving to cherish her memory are her sons, Robert and his wife Nancy Johnson of Spotswood, Richard and his wife Sally Johnson of Hicksville, NY; her daughter, Barbara and her husband Robert Murray of West Long Branch; her beloved 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 3-7 pm Tuesday at the Fiore Funeral Home 236 Monmouth Road, Oakhurst. Funeral Mass 10:30 am Wednesday at St. Jerome Church, West Long Branch. Burial will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Yonkers, NY.
