Juan Evangelista Irizarry, 73, of West Long Branch, died Saturday, June 8, 2013.

He was born in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico and lived in Long Branch and Puerto Rico before returning back to West Long Branch last year.



He was a cook at Long Branch Middle School before retiring. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in West Long Branch.

He was predeceased by his parents, Maximino and Marianna Irizarry and a sister, Socorro.

Surviving are his wife, Luz; children, Morgan and Bobby Irizarry and Lucy Doran; brothers and sisters, Carolos and Jimmy Irizarry and Marianna, Maria Cristina and Merita and 6 grandchildren.
