Obituary for Lillian Soltis

Lillian Joan Soltis, 82, of Oakhurst, Ocean Township, died Monday, May 14, 2018.
She was born in Flushing, NY and lived in Oakhurst since 1962.
She was a labor and delivery nurse for both Monmouth Medical Center and Monmouth Medical Group in Long Branch retiring in 2014.
Lillian was very patriotic. She planned to join the US Navy before her marriage proposal. She always dreamed of becoming a Naval nurse. She loved nature and was an animal advocate. She fed squirrels, birds and any visitors daily from her garage. She was a lifetime fan of the New York Yankees. Her famous quote, regardless of wins or losses was “They’ll always be my team!”. Lillian enjoyed reading.
She was predeceased by her parents, Lawrence and Lillian Cooper.
Surviving are her husband of 59 years, John T. Soltis.; son, John T. Soltis, Jr. and his wife, Gretna Soltis of Warner Robins, GA and a granddaughter, Anna Jillian Soltis of Warner Robins, GA.
