Obituary for Harriet C. Rice

Harriet C. Rice, 91, a lifelong resident of West Long Branch, passed away on Monday, April 9, 2018.
She was a lifelong member of Old First United Methodist Church in West Long Branch serving as a treasurer, Sunday school teacher and in the women’s societies; American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 411 where she served as county president; member and board member of the West Long Branch Community; member of the West Long Branch Leisure Club and a former Girl Scouts leader.
She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, William Rice in 2014, infant daughter, and her parents, Harry and Clara Stille.
Surviving are her daughter, Amy Rice Lynch; son, William J. Rice; brother, Dr. Harry C. Stille (Reba); grandchildren, Major Alden Lynch (Major Kathleen S. Feeley-Lynch), Gunnery Sgt. Aaron D. Lynch and Abigail Lynch.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 4-8 pm Friday at the Fiore Funeral Home, 882 Broadway, West Long Branch. Funeral service will be held at 11 am Saturday at Old First United Methodist Church in West Long Branch.
