Obituary for Joanne C. Brown

Joanne C. Brown
Joanne Brown of Wayside passed away Wednesday January 17, surrounded by her family. She was 79. She was born in New York, and lived most of her life in Wayside. She was a loving, wife, mother, and grandmother who opened her heart to all those around her. She loved to cook the most delicious meals, garden, vacation on Cape Cod, spend time at the beach and the family pool, and walk the boards with her husband. There was always a cat or two rounding out the household. Her most favorite thing of all was spending time with her family.

She loved effortlessly. Her family was at the core of her love. If you were a friend to the family or married into the family, you were family and your entire being was loved, and it was special to be able to feel such a warmth.

She was married for 57 years to her soul mate, Eugene Brown. She is survived by her husband Eugene, her 4 children, Suzanne Condo, married to Anthony, Stephen, married to Lisa, Michael, and Christopher, married to Susan, as well as her 2 grandchildren, Katherine and Jake, and her brother Allan, and his wife Doris. She was predeceased by her parents Philip and Dorothy Ames, and her daughter-in-law Lisa.
