Obituary for Edward S. Graff

Edward S. Graff, 93, of Ocean, died peacefully on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at King Manor in Neptune.
He was born in Corona, Queens, NY. He graduated from Bayonne High School in 1941.He received a bachelor degree in mechanical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY a bachelor degree in electrical engineering from New York University. He proudly served his country with distinction as an airplane and engine mechanic during WW II.
As a lifelong engineer he was continuously trying to solve the worlds problems. From working on the Hubble telescope to building a better football helmet. He was an anomaly. His curiosity, humor and love made him one of a kind.
He was predeceased by his wife of 57 years, Charlotte Dvorin Graff; his parents, Victor and Mae Graff and his sister, Harriet Goldstein.
Surviving are his loving daughter, Jessie Joseph; son-in-law, Lynn Joseph; son, Jack Graff; grandchildren, Stephen and his wife Maggie Joseph and Lauren and her husband Nuno Oliveira and 3 great-granddaughters, Kylie, Sienna and Sofia.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am Tuesday at the Fiore Funeral Home, 236 Monmouth Road, Oakhurst, Ocean Township. Burial will follow at Beth Israel Cemetery in Woodbridge. Shiva will be observed from 4-8 pm on Tuesday and Wednesday at the home of Jessie Joseph.
