Obituary for Salvatore M. Trocchia

Salvatore M. Trocchia, 82, of Eatontown, died Friday, December 15, 2017.
He was born in Red Bank and lived in Long Branch and West Long Branch before moving to Eatontown 13 years ago.
He graduated from St. John’s University School of Pharmacy in Brooklyn. Sal was a communicant of St. Jerome Roman Catholic Church in West Long Branch and an Army veteran. He was an altar boy at Saint Anthony with Monsignor delorenzo in red bank as a young man. And served as an altar boy, lecture and assistant for Monsignor Bradley for many years.
He was owner and pharmacist for 22 years at Diamond’s Pharmacy in Long Branch retiring in 1985. He then was Health Inspector for Ocean Township from 1985 to 1995.
He was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Carmela Trocchia; brother, Andrew Trocchia and sister, Lena Rettagliata.
Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Lillian Rinaldi Trocchia; 3 children, Michael and his wife Karen Trocchia, Philip Trocchia, and Mary and her husband Anthony Rasa; brother, Domenic Trocchia; 3 sisters, Josephine Brown, Ann Hall and Frances DeArmond and 3 grandchildren, Michael Trocchia, Jr. and Christina and Elizabeth Rasa.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 3-7 pm Wednesday at the Fiore Funeral Home, 236 Monmouth Road, Oakhurst, Ocean Township. Funeral Mass will be offered at 11 am Thursday at St. Jerome Church, West Long Branch. Entombment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Middletown.
