Obituary for Marie W. Haag

Marie West Haag, 91, died peacefully on December 14 at Monmouth Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Asbury Park and resided there for 87 years before moving to Tinton Falls. As a young woman, she was a secretary at Fort Monmouth where she met the love of her life and future husband, Warren, a proud WWII U.S. Navy Veteran. They lived a beautiful life together. Marie was a lifelong communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church in Asbury Park, where she would assist joyously whenever they needed her help.
She was predeceased by her husband, Warren; her parents, Joseph and Jeanne West and sisters, Dolores Martin and Theresa Sorrentino.
Marie is survived by her daughter and her husband, Donna and Paul Andrus of West Long Branch, two sisters, Joanne Falcone and Carol and her husband Jeff Sutphin; grandchildren, Paul Andrus, Jon and Sherrie Andrus, Megan and Anthony Liberatore; and six great grandchildren, Shane, Madeline, Jacob, Emma Marie, Addison and William, who she loved so dearly
