Obituary for Theresa M. Barney

Theresa M. Barney, 84, of Oceanport, died Thursday, September 21, 2017 at home.
She was born in Elizabeth and lived in Long Branch before moving to Oceanport 52 years ago.
Theresa was a quality control operator at Perkin-Elmer and Concurrent in West Long Branch for 40 years before retiring in 1994.
She was a member of the Oceanport Seniors and a member of the Bocce team.
She was predeceased by her son, John in 2013; her parents, Natale and Angelina Dellera and a step-bother, James DiModica.
Surviving are her husband of 62 years, Anthony “Sonny” Barney; son, Anthony and his wife Alma Ruby Barney; daughter, Mary Lou Barney; 3 brothers, Louis, Frank and Peter Dellera; 2 grandchildren, Anthony and Danielle Barney and 2 great-grandsons, Anthony and Santino.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 9 am until her funeral service at 11 am Saturday at the Fiore Funeral Home, 882 Broadway, West Long Branch. Entombment will follow at Woodbine Mausoleum in Oceanport. For condolences, please visit www.fiorefuneralhomes.com.
