Dorothy Pavia, 92, of Ocean Township, died Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at Jersey Shore Center in Eatontown.
She was born in Perth Amboy and has lived in Ocean for the past 57 years.
She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Oakhurst and a member of its Social Club, Ruth Circle and the Methodist Women’s Club. She was also a member of the Friendship Seniors and helped deliver Meals on Wheels.
She worked in the cafeteria at the Ocean Township High School retiring in 1981.
She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Joseph in 2007 and her parents, Anthony and Genevieve Lambert.
Surviving are her children, Carol Sloat, Diane Main and Frank Pavia; 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 4-8 pm Thursday at the Fiore Funeral Home, 236 Monmouth Road, Oakhurst, Ocean Township. Funeral service at 10 am Friday at the First United Methodist Church, 103 Monmouth Road, Oakhurst. Burial will follow at Wayside Methodist Church Cemetery in Wayside.
