MaryBeth Yost, 81, of West Long Branch, died Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at Jersey Shore Center in Eatontown.
She was born in Scranton, PA and lived in Springfield and Philadelphia, PA before moving to West Long Branch in 1974.
She was a communicant of St. Jerome Roman Catholic Church in West Long Branch. She received a Master of Science in Education (M.S. Ed) from Monmouth University in West Long Branch.
Mrs. Yost was an English teacher at Shore Regional High School in West Long Branch retiring in 2002. She was also class advisor, an SAT tutor, and advisor to the National Honor Society and Interact Club.
Her greatest joy in life was her three grandchildren. She will most certainly be remembered for the hundreds of young lives she impacted through her many years of teaching with a kind and compassionate heart.
She was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Mary Campion and 2 brothers and a sister.
Surviving are her husband of 60 years, Paul F. Yost; 6 children, Mary Elizabeth Rushton and her husband Darrell, Rita Ann Scudieri and her husband Michael, Paul F. Yost, Jr., Robert Yost and his wife Angela, William J. Yost and Martin J. Yost; 8 siblings; and 3 grandchildren, Sara Noelle and Julianna Victoria Yost and Paul-Michael Rushton.
