Obituary for James D. Adam

James D. Adam, 79, of Asbury Park, died Sunday, April 9, 2017 surrounded by his family.
He was born in Montclair, lived in Belmar and Bradley Beach before moving to Asbury Towers in 2013.
He was a self-employed plumber, had served in the Army National Guard. Later in life, a member of the Bradley Beach Surf Casters and the Pine Squares Camping Club. His loves were square dancing, hunting and fishing at the Jersey Shore.
Surviving are his wife, Mary, of 58 years; 4 children, Jimmy Adam of Jackson, Heather, her husband Pat Ferrante of Hackettstown, Jennifer Adam of Brick and David Adam, deceased in 1999; 2 grandchildren, Crystal Adam and Zachary Adam Fodor and 2 great-grandchildren, Isabella Salvatore and Laurie Adam; 3 sisters, Patricia, her husband Jack Figlar of Toms River, Elizabeth Herrman of Brick and Mary Alice, her husband Ken Diebold of Texas.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 2-4 pm on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at the Fiore Funeral Home, 236 Monmouth Road, Oakhurst. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Asbury Park Fire Department First Aid Squad, 800 Main Street, Asbury Park, NJ 07712.
