Obituary for Anthony "Tony" Schaible

Anthony “Tony” Schaible, 84, of Oakhurst, Ocean Township, died Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at home surrounded by his family.
He was born in Newark and lived in Belleville before moving to Long Branch in 1949. He moved to Oakhurst in 1963.
He was a heavy equipment operator for J. F. Kiely Construction in Long Branch for 38 years before retiring 1995. He was a member of Local Union #409 UWA in Long Branch. He served in the U.S. Army during Korean War and in the National Guard. He was a member of the Oakhurst First Aid for 15 years and an assistant Scout Master at Saint Jerome Church in West Long Branch.
He attended St. Mary’s of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Deal.
He was predeceased by his grandson, Jordan Scott Schaible in 1986; his parents, Henry and Theresa Schaible and 6 siblings.
Tony is survived by his wife of 63 years Judith Bisso Schaible; four children, Anthony Jr. and his wife Pamela Schaible, Sharon Ranaudo, LuGene and husband Lawrence DiNapoli and Susan and husband Steven Stokhamer; 9 grandchildren, John Nicholas and MaryKate Schaible; Anthony and Ashlee Ranaudo; Jennifer and her husband Tyler Venice, JD Farruggio, Michael and wife Bea DiNapoli and Kristy and Kimmy Stokhamer and 2 great-grandchildren, Lily and Thomas Venice.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 4-7 pm on Friday at the Fiore Funeral Home, 236 Monmouth Road, Oakhurst. Funeral Mass will be offered at 10:30 am Saturday at St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Deal followed by burial at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Neptune.
