our Friend

We came to know Sal and his family in the early 1960s.  He was some unique individual, one that will be sorely missed by those who did know and understand him.  I worked with him and our families travelled together, went camping together, coached little league games, ate many dinners together, talked and joked together.  We were members of the first aid squad and fire deparments together.  He rose to the position of Fire Chief.  He worked as an operator of heavy equipment, which he used later when he started his own business here in Oceanport.  He was indeed a "jack of all trades".  He would  help anyone who needed it without being asked.   

We could not have asked for a better mentor or friend than Sal.  A piece of OCeanport history just passed on.

He will be missed...............
