Jennifer Mary Cunnane Smith, 64, died unexpectedly of natural causes (a broken heart) on December 14, 2016.
Jennifer was born February 9, 1952 in Swinton, Manchester (England) to Joseph Cunnane and Ethel Walley. It was in Manchester that she met the love of her life, Robert Noel Smith, husband of 46 years before his sudden passing in June 2016.
The two married in Canada in 1970, where they lived for several years before eventually settling in Ocean, NJ.
They built their home and raised two daughters (Amanda Vacchiano of West Allenhurst and Tabatha Dyer of Jackson). Eventually they extended their family to include two sons-in-law (J.J. and Dan) and four cherished grandchildren (Gianni, Nola, Whitney and Reese).
Friends, family and neighbors will fondly remember Jenny as a fierce competitor on the racquetball court, as a beach enthusiast (with her face "out of the sun" and most likely in her puzzle book), and for her walks around the block.
Jenny is predeceased by her devoted husband, both her parents and her brother, Michael Cunnane. She is survived by her daughters, sons-in-law, grandchildren, her brother John Cunnane, sister Debbie Pringle and many loving nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Make A Wish Foundation (www.wish.org) in Jenny’s name.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, December 21st, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Fiore Funeral Home, 236 Monmouth Road, Oakhurst, Ocean Township NJ.
