Obituary for Caridad Alvarez

Caridad “Cari” Alvarez, 87, of Oceanport, formerly of Miami, Florida, died Friday, November 25, 2016.

She was born in Havana, Cuba and lived in Edison, NJ, California and Miami before moving to Oceanport in June 2014.

Cari had a passion for sewing and making porcelain dolls.

She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Enrique (Henry) Alvarez.

Surviving are her daughters, Ceil Gerdtz and her husband Paul; Mary Hutchison and her husband Harry and Elizabeth Alvarez; 10 grandchildren, Devin, Brett, Tom, Sandy, Ryan, Patrick, Chanel, Ashley, Justin and Jason and 6 great-grandchildren, Bella, Kieran, Finnegan, Tristan, Gavin, Jayla and one on the way in March.
