Vincent Simonelli, 79, of West Long Branch, died Tuesday, November 1, 2016.

He was born in Fondi, Italy and immigrated to the United States in 1953 where he paved the way for his family to join him in Long Branch. He moved to West Long Branch in 1988.
He was a communicant and a member of the Holy Name Society of Christ the King Parish at Holy Trinity Church in Long Branch. He loved his grandchildren, soccer, classic cars and listening to music. Vince was a paint shop manager at EAI where he worked for 40 years before retiring. He was a member of the NJ National Guard.

He was predeceased by his parents, Paul and Angelina Simonelli.

Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Assunta Gizzi Simonelli; 3 daughters, Angela and her husband Robert Yost, Anna Simonelli and Valeria and Skip Cioffi; 2 brothers, Cesare Simonelli and Bruno and his wife Lydia Simonelli; 3 sisters, Loreta Cafolla, Nancy and her husband Sam Straniere and Rita and her husband Alex Dohme; brother-in-law, Luciano Gizzi; 4 grandchildren, Sara and Julianna Yost and Henry Vincent and Marina Cioffi and many loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 4-8 pm Friday at the Fiore Funeral Home, 236 Monmouth Road, Oakhurst, Ocean Township. Funeral Mass will be offered at 10 am Saturday at Holy Trinity Church in Long Branch. Entombment will be private.
