Obituary for Josephine Dee Nista

Josephine “Dee” Nista, of Neptune City, passed away peacefully at home in the presence of her family and pet companion DJ on Sunday, August 2, 2015. She was born in New Haven, CT on December 14, 1934, and was predeceased by her parents, John and Mary Nagy. She was predeceased by her brother, John Nagy and sisters, Mary Lou Vallone and Anne Grimaldi.
Dee moved to New Jersey in 1959, and moved to the shore area in 1962. She loved the shore area, particularly the beaches and restaurants. Dee was always the life of the party. Dee was a lover of dogs, she would say that dogs were God's best creation. Dee touched many lives, most recently at the Kensington Club Adult Day Care Club and will truly be missed.
Dee retired from cosmetic sales at Macy's, and free lanced in cosmetic sales at Sterns and Boscov's. She was a Eucharistic Minister and Communicant at St Anselm's Roman Catholic Church in Wayside.
Dee is survived by her loving husband of 58 years Joseph Nista, four children, devoted daughter and best friend, Linda Ganley and her spouse John of Neptune, loving sons, Joseph Nista and his spouse, Patricia of Neptune, John Nista and his spouse, Toni-Ann of Brick and James Nista of Point Pleasant; her brother, Robert Nagy of Berlin, CT and her pet companion, DJ. She leaves four loving grandchildren, the love of her life Lauren and Gregory Ganley and his spouse Crystal and Nicole and John Nista.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM, and 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at the Fiore Funeral Home, 236 Monmouth Road, Oakhurst, Ocean Township. Funeral Mass will be offered on Thursday, August 6th, 11:00 AM at St. Anselm's Church, 1028 Wayside Road, Wayside. Entombment will follow at Woodbine Mausoleum in Oceanport. In lieu of flowers, donations in Josephine's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation, Greater NJ Chapter, 400 Morris Avenue, Suite 251, Denville, NJ 07834.
