The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of James Vecchione can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolences

Condolence From: Brian Pfennig
Condolence: Mr. Vecchione was one of those spectacular teachers that a student always remembers. While many teachers have the opportunity to touch a student in their formative years, few stay with you beyond the classroom. He challenged me, and I'm sure I may have challenged him. I not only had the luck of having him for required classes, but his enthusiasm for the topics he taught made me elect to have further classes with him. I only hope that one day my sons have the opportunity to have a caring, enthusiastic and involved teacher like him. my condolences go out to his friends, family and students. he will be remembered with respect and love.

Condolence From: Brian Robison
Condolence: My sincere condolences to your family. Mr. Vecchione was an extreme credit to the New Jersey education system, more specifically, to Middletown High School North. He was a teacher who cared, and reached out to every member of the youth community that he had ever met. I was a troubled youth while knowing him. He taught me so much more than any history book could have. He was a teacher, a mentor, and an excellent role model (a true class example). He has been engrained in my memories since 1983. Thank you for sharing him with us! God bless you all!
