Albert J. Vitale, 83, of Oceanport passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 26, 2014.
He was born and raised in Newark and moved to Long Branch before moving to Oceanport with his wife, Loretta where they raised seven children. He was a Union Mason for 50 years, many of those years working for Henry Vaccaro. Albert was a family man who enjoyed time with his family, whether at home, at an event, traveling and even skiing. He had a love of horseracing and if that wasn't enough, he would always find a project to keep himself busy.

He was predeceased by his wife of 60 years, Loretta and daughter, Beatrice Danielson. Albert leaves behind six children and their spouses, Albert and Elizabeth Vitale of Oceanport, Louis and Kathleen Vitale of Ocean Township, Donna and Steven Moore of Margate, Mary Kinasczuk of Florida, Joseph Vitale of New Port Richey, Florida, Linda Vitale of Eatontown and son-in-law, Roger Danielson of Toms River. Albert, aka PopPop will be missed by his 18 grandchildren; Elizabeth, Allison, Angela, Thomas, Michael, Jennifer, Heather, Lindsey, Joseph, Anastasia, William, Danielle, Joey, Nicole, Gary, Michelle, Christopher and Sandy and one great-grandson, Nolan. Albert is also survived by his brother, Louis and his wife Arlene Vitale of Toms River and sister, Terry DeNino of Brick and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 4-8 pm with a service at 7:30 pm Friday at the Fiore Funeral Home, 882 Broadway, West Long Branch.
